About Toronto Lead Pipe Solutions
Licensed, local, and focused entirely on one thing: getting lead pipes out of Toronto homes.
Why We Exist
Toronto Lead Pipe Solutions exists because lead pipes in Toronto are still a problem — and most homeowners don't know they have one. Tens of thousands of homes across the city still have lead service lines running under their front yards, delivering water that's been in contact with lead pipe for decades.
Health Canada is clear: there's no safe level of lead exposure. It accumulates in the body over time and causes measurable cognitive and developmental harm, especially in children under six. The water filter on your tap reduces exposure, but it doesn't solve the problem. The only real fix is replacing the pipe.
We're a team of licensed plumbers who built this company around a single service because we saw how badly it was needed. Toronto has a massive inventory of pre-1955 housing — the Annex, Leslieville, East York, Scarborough's older east-end, North York's post-war bungalow belts — and most of those homes still have their original lead connection. We think that's fixable.
So we focused. We learned every permit office. We built working relationships with Toronto Water's district teams. We priced lead pipe jobs competitively because the volume of work in this city lets us. And we don't take on unrelated plumbing work that would dilute the focus.

What Makes Us Different
Every contractor says they do good work. Here's what we actually do differently.
Fixed prices, in writing.
You get a written quote before we start. The invoice matches the quote. Every time. No line items that appeared after the ground was opened.
Every permit pulled.
We don't skip permits to save time. The City of Toronto permit process protects your investment — it ensures the work is inspected and on record. We do it properly, every job.
Toronto program specialists.
We know the City of Toronto Lead Pipe Replacement Program inside out. We handle the application, coordinate with the city, and secure the maximum available subsidy for every qualifying client.
Same-day water restoration.
Most jobs are done in a day. You won't spend a night without water. We plan each job around that commitment and only take on the work volume our crews can execute.
Fully licensed and insured.
TSSA-approved. Licensed plumbers on every job. Liability insurance in place before the first shovel goes in. No unlicensed subcontractors on our sites.
One specialty only.
We are not a general plumbing company that does lead pipe work when it comes up. Lead service line replacement is the only thing we do. That focus means our crews are faster, our permit applications are cleaner, and our quotes are accurate from the start.
How We Work
Free inspection, no obligation
We visit your home, locate the service line at your water meter, and identify the material. Lead is dull grey, slightly soft, and scratches bright silver. Galvanized is grey and magnetic. Copper is orange-brown. We'll tell you exactly what's there and whether you need to act. No charge for the visit.
A written quote before anything moves
If replacement is warranted, we give you a fixed price in writing before any permits are pulled or ground is broken. The quote includes all labour, material, permit fees, backfill, and surface restoration. What you sign for is what you pay.
Permits first, always
We submit the permit application to the City of Toronto before the work is scheduled. We don't start digging on an unpermitted job. Permits protect you — they put the work on record, require city inspection, and mean your water service is legally restored. Skipping permits is a risk we won't take with your home.
The replacement, done right
Our crew opens the necessary section of your yard or driveway, cuts the lead line, and installs new Type K copper or PEX from the property line to your meter. The connection is pressure-tested, the trench is backfilled in layers, and the surface is restored. Your water is back on before we leave.
City program coordination, if it applies
If you qualify for the Toronto Lead Pipe Replacement Program, we file the application before we start the job. Program approval typically takes 2–4 weeks. We plan the schedule around that so the funding is in place before the work begins.
Our Service Area
We work throughout the City of Toronto and every major GTA municipality — North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, East York, York, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Oakville, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Burlington, Newmarket, and Aurora.
Each municipality has its own permit office and — in some cases — its own lead pipe replacement assistance program. We're familiar with all of them. Peel Region, York Region, Durham Region, and Halton Region all have different processes and we navigate each one for our clients.
If you're within the GTA, we can typically get to you within 48 hours for a free inspection.
